PPDS recently announced that 110 advanced 4K Philips X-Line Videowall monitors have been selected and installed in the new futuristic new Modivo store in Warsaw, the world's first fully automated "physical" retail store.

In cooperation with Nanovo, Modivo’s technology partner, a total of 110 x 55 inches of Philips X-Line 4K Android displays were selected and installed in the entire Modivo store. The Modivo store is designed without any inventory in the workshop, thereby creating a more open appearance with fewer employees. Instead, customers entering the store sit on a dedicated sofa and use a touch tablet to browse the store’s catalog. Running on Nanovo's proprietary digital in-store platform, SIGNIO, all inventory is displayed on an easy-to-use interface that directly links to the "automated warehouse" (stock room) adjacent to the store, which holds more than 100,000 items.

After the customer makes a choice, they enter their mobile phone number on the tablet to receive a unique code. This code can then be shown at the entrance of the fitting room, and once scanned, the customer will be directed to one of the eight available fitting rooms. In addition, each fitting room is equipped with a wall-mounted touch screen display to show their initial choice. After the customer makes the final decision, they can use the display to confirm the order and then leave the fitting room empty-handed. Then, the items they wish to buy will be delivered to the collection point where they paid, thus ending the visit.
